Yoga: What to Wear

Yoga is fun. As a fully formed adult, you get to contort your limbs in all sorts of wacky ways, challenging certain areas of your body for the first time.

Yoga is popular. As Starbucks is to coffee, yoga is to exercise. Millions drank coffee before Starbucks came around just like millions exercised before yoga exploded as a popular activity. Now, those millions have more than doubled.

Yoga is healthy. Those who regularly take part have better circulation, lower blood pressure and blood sugar, and a lower chance of suffering from arthritis, depression, and osteoporosis, among dozens of other positive results.

Yoga is social. People do it, people feel good when they do it. A recent poll conducted by Yoga Journal found that 20.4 million Americans now practice yoga, which is nearly 10% of all the country’s adults. In 2008 that number was 15.8 million, so the growth in four years (the most recent poll was conducted in 2012) shows an obvious expansion in popularity.

So, nearly one out of every 10 adults in the United States regularly visits a yoga studio, meaning it’s also a wonderful place to do your social life a favor while also bettering your well-being.

The primary goal here, obviously, is to get in better shape, increase your flexibility, and improve your overall health. But the social component of being surrounded by other people is unavoidable, and even though yoga will make you sweat, it’s still likely that you don’t want to look like a total mess when it’s over—especially if a new friend asks you to coffee or lunch right after class.

At ClothingShopOnline, we have several fantastic outfits for those looking to either jump on board the yoga bandwagon or improve their clothing options with some seriously low prices. Fact is, people care about looking good.
